Who We Are
We are a Non-profit homeschool hybrid program operating in Wayne County, OH and serve families in Wayne County and the surrounding areas.
Homeschooling one’s children is beautiful, but is also a demanding and challenging task on a parent. We were born out of a dream to provide homeschool families with supplemental classical education that educated students richly and gave homeschool parents an opportunity to belong to a supportive community.
We hope to bring glory to God in all that we do and how we educate children and support families. No matter where you and your children are in your education journey, Cypress Hybrid Academy is here to support you. If you desire the homeschool environment for your children, but are intimidated to jump into the homeschool world, Cypress Hybrid Academy is here to help you along the way and take that first step.
Statement of Faith
SCRIPTURE
The knowledge of God comes by way of His own revelation, and no other way (Galatians 1:8-9).
We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testament, is the Word of God, fully inspired, totally true, and trustworthy. It is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and training in righteousness, that God's people may be adequate and equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16, Ps. 119:160).
GOD
God is One and God is Sovereign (Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Kings 19:15).
God exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
By His own pleasure, God created, sustains, and rules all things. All creation exists for and attests to His glory (Revelation 4:11).
MAN
We believe man is created in God's image and had perfect relationship with God, but as a result of sin and disobedience experienced physical death and separation from God (Genesis 1:27, Ps. 8, Rom. 6:23).
We believe all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The wages of that sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
We believe that our sexual identity as male or female is inscribed in us by God and the marital union of male and female is a fundamental dimension of being made in the image of God (Gen. 2;24)
CHRIST
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born of the Virgin Mary, led a sinless life, died on the cross for man's sins, rose again from the dead, ascended to the right hand of God the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead (Luke 1:34-35, John 3:16, Mark 16:19, Philippians 2:9-11).
SALVATION
We believe that by God's grace, a person can be in right relationship with God by trusting in the Person and work of Jesus Christ by faith alone, apart from any kind of work. (Rom. 5:1; 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5)
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is God and equal with both the Father and the Son. He indwells the believer, making them a new creation, and enables them to live the Christian life, and empowers them for service. (John 16:7-15, 1 Corinthians 2;12, 6:19-20, Eph. 1:13).
Both Christ and The Spirit also ever intercede for the believer before the Father (John 17:20, Romans 8:26-34, Hebrews 7:24-25).
CHRIST’S RETURN
We believe in the imminent personal return of Jesus Christ to earth. (Titus 2:13; Matt. 25:31-34; 1 Thess. 5:1-11)
RESURRECTION
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind. Those who are in relationship with God through Jesus Christ will be resurrected to eternal life, but those without a relationship with Jesus Christ will be resurrected to eternal judgment (1 Cor. 15:22-26, 40-44, 50-58; John 3:36; Rev. 20:11-15).
