Mission & Vision

Our mission is to invite children to flourish through learning rooted in the truth and beauty of Jesus.

Our vision is to create a safe environment full of enrichment and creativity for homeschool children in the Wayne County area. We hope to support homeschooled children and parents in their pursuit of learning by providing an opportunity to be a part of a community of people along the same mission. Our desire for every child that walks through our doors is that they would experience the truth, goodness, and beauty of God from the books they read, the people they meet, and the creation they enjoy.

Charlotte Mason, 19th Century Education Philosopher

“We hold that all education is divine, that every good gift of knowledge and insight comes from above.”

“An observant child should be put in the way of things worth observing.”

Best of Both Worlds

Cypress is a collaborative education — bringing together the best of classical Christian education and homeschooling. Guided by Charlotte Mason's principles, we partner with families to deliver a beautiful academic program that points students to the truth and beauty of their Creator. Each student attends the academy two days a week, learning alongside a devoted teacher and their peers, with the remaining days at home under their parents' guidance.

Weekly Schedule

Monday:  at home

Tuesday: on campus (9:15-2:45)

Wednesday: at home

Thursday: on campus (9:15-2:45)

Friday: at home

*Study Center Option:  Supplemental Language Arts & Math, Tues. & Thurs.

The Study Center option is an optional service for families looking to have their child instructed in Language Arts and Math on both program days before the hybrid program begins. This can reduce the burden on the homeschool parent and is a great option for part-time working parents or those with schedule limitations that still desire a homeschool hybrid environment for their children.
