Are you a school?

We are not a legal school that reports to the state of Ohio. We operate as a non-profit organization according to the state of Ohio. Children that will attend Cypress are registered by their parents as homeschooled children by the state of Ohio. We function as a learning center to support homeschool families in Wayne County and the surrounding areas by offering supplemental classical education.

What is a Homeschool Co-op?

The co-op is a regular scheduled meeting among homeschool families with the intention of providing social and learning activities. We will meet on Thursdays from 10am-12pm and will cover Literature, Nature study, and Spanish. The instruction will be provided by volunteers as a “cooperative” effort among the families belonging to the co-op.

What is the Cypress Hybrid program?

The hybrid program begins in September 2026 and will run for the 2026/2027 school year. This is a step up from the co-op as we will meet two days a week on Tuesday and Thursday for a full instruction day. The hybrid program will provide instruction by paid teachers of the organization who have been trained in our Charlotte Mason Classical philosophy.

When does Cypress meet?

Beginning Fall 2025, Cypress Co-op will meet weekly on Thursdays from 10am - 12pm.

The Full Hybrid Program is anticipated to begin Fall 2026 and will meet on weekly on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:15am - 2:30pm for the 2026/2027 school year (Sep.-May).

Where are you located?

We are located in Wooster, OH.

Why do you not provide a Pre-k class?

Charlotte Mason fully believed that early childhood is meant to be protected and full of natural curiosity and play. While we do not discourage preschool it is something we do not provide.
